‘Basketball’ star Jalen Rose is in the running to coach Jaguars

Jalen Wade is officially back in the NFL coaching ranks after spending the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos.

Rose joined the Broncos after the 2015 season and spent his first four seasons coaching at Utah and now the Jaguars.

He joins a coaching class that includes former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, who is currently the head coach at Michigan State, and current Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, who spent the past four seasons with New Orleans Saints.

Rose spent the 2017 season with the Saints as their offensive coordinator.

He guided New Orleans to the NFC South title in his first season in the league.

After spending the 2015-16 season with Utah, he was fired following the season.

Rose’s career in coaching is littered with successful stints in college and pro leagues.

He helped lead the Utes to the 2014 national championship and to a Super Bowl win in his second season.

In the NFL, he led the Saints to the Super Bowl twice, winning it in 2015 and 2016.

Rose was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks’ coaching staff during the 2016 season.

He served as the offensive coordinator for Seattle’s offense during the 2017 campaign, which saw the Seahawks advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Rose has spent most of his professional career in the American Football League (AFL).

He coached in the CFL and played collegiately at Michigan.

He previously served as an assistant coach for the Washington Redskins and was the quarterbacks coach at Penn State.
